Interview for OK! Magazine
Apr 03 2016

When you have a night off from your hectic schedule, what’s the first thing you do?

I unwind by lighting my candles, then I love having a long, hot bath using essential oils with scents such as lavender and eucalyptus. which help me to relax. I normally make myself a lovely dinner and put on a really funny film to take my mind off of work.

What would be your ideal night in?

Me and my girls just catching up, talking about life over some vino and snacks like Miller Corner. We’d watch a good movie where we can laugh together. That’s what being with your friends and family is all about.

What’s the decor like in your home? How do you make it comfortable for a night in?

My house is very contemporary. It has influences from around the world and has an exotic feel. I have blankets and throws everywhere along with candles — I am obsessed with Diptyque Baies candles!

How important is getting enough sleep?

Any sleep is always a good sleep. Ideally, I want to get up to eight hours each night — at least that’s

what I aim for. When I get eight hours I’m like, wow, I feel so reenergised!

What’s your bedtime skincare regime like?

Proactiv — the exfoliator, serum, moisturiser and sometimes toner. I make sure I do this before bed every night so my skin is refreshed for the next day.

Do you have any healthy diet tips?

When I have time, I love to cook and eat Mexican food, pasta and truffles — I don’t believe in depriving yourself as then you build up a real urge to have it. But I believe in having everything in moderation and working out to keep fit. Try to eat smaller portions, but eat often. I would also say to avoid eating late at night, so your body has time to digest before you go to bed. I always try to eat fresh, so eat things that you know are clean.

What is your exercise routine?

I love to have a personal training session. If I don’t have time to work out but want to do something active, I always run. Not only am I getting fit, but I often get lost in my own ideas and I get to be so creative and come up with the most interesting things. A spinning class is also a great alternative as I feel there’s a collaborative effort with everyone taking part in the class. I always try to work out in the morning. too, so I don’t procrastinate and it gets done!

Your hair always looks incredible. What do you do to keep it in such good condition?

I do love a good hair mask and I always put one in when relaxing. Coconut oil is always my go-to product to keep my locks looking shiny — it’s great for the tips!

What are your hero beauty products?

Coconut oil — it does everything! It’s antibacterial and antifungal, it’s a great moisturiser and it’s even a useful deodorant! Honestly, I cannot tell you enough how multi-purpose it is, I love it.

Do you have any fall-safe beauty tips that always work?

Sweat it out — you instantly get a natural glow! Sleep and drink plenty of water and your skin will speak for itself.

What’s next for you?

This year Is all about doing what I want to do to the fullest. really maximising my potential. I love the saying: ‘Blaze your own trail.’ Maybe Cats or more acting — I want to do as much as I can.
