Dec 04 2013

While few can work a fierce floor-length frock like X Factor’s Nicole Scherzinger, the style-savvy judge has spilled that she actually feels sexiest in her off-duty urban gear. Who knew?

Despite wowing us each week with her show-stopping Saturday night gowns, the 35-year-old glamourpuss has been gushing about those casual style secrets that keep her feeling sexy and oh-so-stylish off-screen.

‘My go-to where I feel really confident and comfortable is just a white tank top, jeans and a leather jacket’, Nicole told us during our exclusive chat with the star. ‘That’s just me.’

‘Don’t get me wrong, I love making sure that people get to see me all glammed up on the weekends – that’s so much fun for me as I feel like a real life doll. I’m very detailed-orientated with my stylist and my glam team.’

‘From every shade of eye-shadow to each hairstyle, I’m inspired by what’s on the runway right to the hottest new shoe designer, so I’m very involved in that whole process’.

The former Pussycat Doll continued: ‘But at the same time, on the VTs I like to keep my look very day-to-day and casual, because I’m a real next-door chick at heart.’

So what are her top style tips for those of us wanting to inject a bit of Scherzy-cool into our day ‘drobes?

‘I always think it’s cool to rock up an outfit and add a little bit of funk or edge with an accessory – whether it’s a plain white tee or a simple dress’, she said. ‘So it could be with a shoe or a jacket, or a hat or scarf, or even just with some jewellery. It’s all about accessorizing.’

So there you have it. Go crazy with your accessories and you’ll be nailing Sch-amazing casual style in no time. We’re off to bump up our beanie collection…
