Nicole Scherzinger has dropped the biggest hint yet that there’s a reunion on the cards for her and Lewis Hamilton, admitting she’d love to get back with him in her most candid interview since their split.

They ended their five year on-off romance in July this year and apart form a late-night hotel meet-up, have kept a safe distance.

But in true Lewis/Nicole fashion, it seems they could be back on again in no time as Nicole admitted that while they’re ‘just friends’, she wouldn’t rule anything out.

The exciting news came when Nicole, 35, was directly asked if there’s hope for them yet. She replied: ‘I hope so. I would love that.

‘For now, we are just friends. But whatever the future holds, I don’t rule anything out. I also don’t have any regrets. For now, we are just friends.’

In October Lewis, 28, was caught in the car park of a hotel Nicole was checked into after his car broke down, giving the first real glimpse of hope for the couple.

But Nicole says they just met to talk, adding to The Sun: ‘You actually make us way more exciting than what we are.’

Although the X Factor judge is keen to return to her lover – who was believed to be on the verge of proposing just before they announced their shock split – she says she is glad she got to indulge in ‘me time’ and reveals it was her religion that got her through the break-up.

And another sure sign that there is still a spark between Lewis and Nicole is the fact she has remained on the singles market since their split.

‘I’ve not been dating,’ she added. ‘That’s not where my head’s been at. At all. You have to be happy with yourself before you’re happy with anyone else.’
