The star also revealed that it was hard for her to send people home

X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger has revealed that the acts who failed to make it through to the live finals have received counselling.

Insisting that the hopefuls – who Nicole decided to send home at the end of the judges house round – have been well looked after on the show. The former Pussycat Doll turned reality TV judge who has been given the ‘girls’ category this year, told Alan Carr during her appearance on his TV show, Alan Carr’s Chatty Man:

“They get counselling. A lot of them are so young. It’s hard for them. It broke my heart to send people home. I lose sleep over the show all the time.

“It was so emotional for everyone. There were so many tears.”

The star then went on to admit that it it was a difficult situation when the finalists had to fly back to London with those who she had sent home. The Don’t Hold Your Breath star added:

“They had to fly home together. It’s an awkward situation.”

Nicole, who is currently single having split from her long term beau Lewis Hamilton earlier this year added that she wasn’t a fan of the male auditionees who were trying to hit on her.

Recalling the experience, Nicole told Carr: “It’s a totally awkward situation. The auditionees start to move forward and I’m like: ‘Please don’t make eye contact.’ I start to look at the audience and pray they don’t come up to me.

“They come up and start grinding. Their breath is foul.”

Speaking about what sort of outfit she will wear on the first live show which kicks off tomorrow night, Nicole teased: “I will be flashing some skin. I’m wearing just chains and skin. I got my legs. I got my tan. I’m feeling good.”

Meanwhile, a spokesperson has insisted to the Daily Star that the health and safety of the finalists is “paramount”, adding: “There is always someone on hand to deal with stressful situations.”
