Former finalist Melanie Masson believes the ladies will be close

If you’re expecting fireworks between the X Factor judges this year, you might be waiting a while as Nicole Scherzinger and Sharon Osbourne will “bond” on the show, according to former X Factor finalist Melanie Masson.

With Sharon back on the show replacing Tulisa Contostavlos, EntertainmentWise caught up with Melanie at The Holiday Boutique launch party last night where we asked her whether she thought Nicole and Sharon would get along.

The talented singer said: “I do think they’ll get on because they both appreciate strong women. Nicole is a strong woman and she’s lots of fun as well. She’s very musically knowledgeable and I think the two of them will bond and they might gang up together against the boys.”

Melanie, also took the opportunity to gush about Sharon, admitting that she would have loved to have seen Sharon on the show when she was on it last year. She added: “I’m a huge Mrs O fan, so I’m really pleased to have her back and I would have loved for her to be on the panel when I was doing it because I think she’s an amazing woman.

“She’s so experienced. She knows music, she’s a great character and she’ll bring a lot to the programme this year.”

As Nicole and Sharon prepare to work together on the show, Nicole’s Formula One boyfriend Lewis Hamilton has dropped a hint that he is considering asking the former Pussycat Doll to become his wife.

Speaking to The Sun, Lewis said: “We’ve been together for five years, which is quite a milestone really. But hopefully in the near future. Maybe before we get to six years.”
