Nicole Scherzinger is a big fan of her X Factor boss Simon Cowell.

The former Pussycat Doll joined the UK show as a judge last year and she admits she has a bond with creator Simon, 53.

‘Simon is both pompous and aloof and a sweet cuddly teddy bear at the same time,’ says Nicole, 34.

‘I’m the angel on one shoulder and on the other side is the devil, which is a reflection of himself in a mirror.

‘Seriously, though, there’s something about Simon.’

Whilst Nicole recognises the dark side of Mr Cowell, she’s also grateful to him for what’s he taught her.

‘He is absolutely someone who I would turn to for advice about the music business because in a way he has mentored me,’ Lewis Hamilton’s girlfriend tells Live Magazine.

‘He always jokes that I’m ruthless but if I am I think I’ve learnt that from him.

‘We have a lot in common because I’ve worked really hard to get where I am today and I know that he has too.’
