[Audio] Preview – (It) Feels So Good (Steven Tyler)
May 01 2011

May is a busy month for American Idol judge and Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler. The rambunctious singer will be releasing a new solo single called (It) Feels So Good, which can be heard here through an Amazon link below, and he’ll unleash his new autobiography, Does the Noise in My Head Bother You?: A Rock ‘n’ Roll Memoir. The book is scheduled for release on May 3 and the single on May 10. The song will make it’s first public debut via the Ryan Seacrest radio show.

(It) Feels So Good was written by Tyler and long-time Aerosmith hit writer Marti Frederiksen and features guest vocals from Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger. Originally titled “Oxygen”, the track was written in 2002 during the making of Aerosmith’s album O Yeah! Ultimate Aerosmith Hits. Tyler’s bandmates allegedly rejected the song when he proposed it to them, so he recorded a demo of the song and passed it out to a few of his colleagues to get second opinions. This demo later leaked onto the internet. A music video for the song was filmed in April 2011 and will premiere on American Idol in May 2011.

In the book Tyler tells what it’s like to be a living legend and the frontman of one of the world’s most revered and infamous bands—the debauchery, the money, the notoriety, the fights, the motels and hotels, the elevators, limos, buses and jets, the rehab. He reveals the spiritual side that “gets lost behind the stereotype of the Sex Guy, the Drug Guy, the Demon of Screamin’, the Terror of the Tropicana.” And he talks about his epic romantic life and his relationship with his four children.
