Nicole Scherzinger fears for Lewis Hamilton

The singer said she and Grand Prix ace boyfriend Lewis Hamilton were both praying for his fellow F1 star Jules Bianchi after the smash left the Frenchman in hospital.

Now Nicole, 36, who has hardly attended a race during Lewis’s latest title push, told Off The Record: “It’s worrying and taken everybody aback. It put things into perspective and my prayers are with Jules.”

“God bless him. I know Lewis feels the same.”

It was at the 2007 MTV EMAs that the media first got a sniff of Lewis, 29, below, and Nic’s budding romance.

But they can’t toast their love when the same event hits Glasgow next month. “It would be cool to celebrate the anniversary at MTV,” said Nic. “But we are always working.”

Nic, who launched new album Big Fat Lie at a London acoustic show this week, is relieved to be an X Factor-free zone now. “I haven’t seen any of it this year,” she explained.

“I’m just so happy to have taken this sacred time for my own music. I feel it deserves that. I feel whole again.”
