Last Tuesday (28) Nicole Scherzinger went to Dubai to perform at the Cirque Du Soir. While she was there, the singer took several pictures with fans and also granted an interview to Simone Heng from Virgin Radio, where she said she’s finishing the US Killer Love with Akon. Check out some pictures:

Simone Heng Interviews Nicole Scherzinger:

I got a call from Pragma Group who own Cavalli Club and Cirque du Soir to interview Nicole Scherzinger who was in town to appear at the very exclusive Cirque Du Soir. It was a great scoop as Nicole only gave 4 interviews for the whole UAE and mine was the only radio one and the other 3 were for print.

We were made to sign disclaimers about not asking her about Lewis Hamilton or X Factor. The first time I have ever been made to not ask a celebrity a question. Even when interviewing Lewis himself, there was a lot more freedom. However, with him I suppose, people are more interested in his driving.

Nicole’s album has been in development and evolution since as early as 2006, constantly pushed back for one reason or another. I researched on the net and it said the album dropped last month in the US, turns out according to Nicole, “Killer Love” is still being tweaked, this time by another person I’ve interviewed, Akon. It was an awkward moment.

She was obviously very tired or something because you can see her slurring and looking strangely in the video. She was almost an hour and a half late for the red carpet and it meant that the journalists were quite tired and cold by the time she appeared. Regardless, it’s a great interview for my showreel and was a cool expereince to have under my belt to match my other celebrity interviews.
